Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Here are the rules for packages, rescheduling and cancelling one-on-one language classes.
Package Validity Periods
- Accent and Clarity Assessment – valid for 15 days
- 3-Month Accent Clarity Transformation – valid for 100 days
Any sessions not scheduled or completed within the validity period will be forfeited. Validity starts from the date of purchase.
Cancellation & Rescheduling Rules
✅ Cancellation with 24 Hours' Notice or More
If you can't attend your session, you must notify me at least 24 hours before the class is due to start. It's that simple. I will not deduct it from your pack and you can reschedule to an alternative date.
⚠️ Cancellation with Less than 24 Hours' Notice
If you let me know less than 24 hours before the start time, this will count as a cancellation and I will deduct the session from your pack.
❌ No Show
A no-show is when a student does not log on to Zoom or contact the teacher at the time of the lesson. If you miss your session in this way, your class will be deducted from your pack. I will wait 10 minutes for you, and if you do not arrive within those 10 minutes, I will mark your session as a no-show.
An email reminder is sent 24 hours before and 1 hour before your scheduled session. However, it is your responsibility to ensure you attend your session on time.
🕐 Arriving Late
If you arrive late to a session, but within the first 10 minutes of the scheduled period, the class will still go ahead. However, if I have another class scheduled immediately after yours, we will still need to end at the scheduled time.
What If the Teacher Needs to Cancel or Is Late?
Teacher Cancellation
If I ever need to cancel a session for any reason, you'll have the option to reschedule. I promise to give you as much notice as possible.
Teacher Running Late
I commit to providing quality language sessions for the full agreed time. If I arrive late and you cannot complete the full time of the class, you will have the opportunity to make up the missed minutes at the end or start of the next class.
Cancellation of 1:1 Lessons
If you can no longer attend lessons, it will, of course, make me very sad to lose you as a student. If you are not happy with your classes (which is very rare!), there are some options we can look at before we resort to cancellation of the full course:

- Give me feedback about your language classes and we can find ways to adapt the course content
- Try changing the length of your classes – to fit better with your schedule or help you feel less tired
- Think about gifting the remaining classes on your pack to a friend or family member
If Cancellation Is the Only Option:
The 3-Month Accent Clarity Transformation program: These are billed monthly as a subscription. You are free to cancel before your next scheduled payment, so no further charges will be made. Please note that past payments are non-refundable, as they cover both lesson delivery and preparation time.
I reserve the right to cancel a package if a student is not fully committed to their learning. This includes frequent rescheduling, repeated cancellations, no-shows or consistently exceeding the package expiry period.
I also reserve the right to refuse to extend a package if I feel the student is not a good fit for the program or is not demonstrating a strong commitment to their classes. This helps protect the learning environment I aim to create for all students.
