How Does This Test Work?

This test is designed to assess your current English proficiency according to the CEFR framework, ranging from A1 (Beginner) to C2 (Proficient).
It’s a guide to help you understand your current level and highlight areas for improvement.

Test Structure

  • The test contains 30 multiple-choice questions.

  • Questions cover grammar, vocabulary, spelling (Australian English), punctuation, collocations, and prepositions.

  • Items and answer options are randomised each time you take the test to keep it fair.

Results & Feedback

  • Once you’ve answered all 30 questions and clicked Submit, your results will appear instantly.

  • You’ll see your overall CEFR level (A1 → C2) and a band-by-band breakdown of your performance.

  • You’ll also receive targeted feedback for each band, e.g. “You missed 2/6 at B2 — review relative clauses and phrasal verbs.”

  • If you skip a question, the system will tell you exactly which one you’ve missed (e.g. “You haven’t answered question 15.”).

  • You can then download a PDF report with:

    • Your overall level

    • Band breakdown

    • Per-band feedback

    • A list of questions you missed (without showing the correct answers)
