Amanda Boyce - Australian English Teacher

Hi! I'm Amanda Boyce (/əˈmændə bɔɪs/)

I grew up in a small beachside town called Woolgoolga. Since June 2019, I've been living in North India with my husband and our three dogs.

I'm passionate about languages, both as a teacher and a learner. I'm currently learning Hindi as my second language, and this dual perspective has deepened my understanding of the language-learning journey. It's not just about picking up new skills, it's about embracing culture, understanding nuances, and building connections beyond words. I bring this approach into my teaching, encouraging curiosity, patience, and ease in every lesson.

As someone currently learning Hindi in India, I know exactly what it feels like to stumble over pronunciation, miss jokes, and feel like everyone's speaking at 2x speed. This firsthand experience shapes how I teach, with patience, empathy, and zero judgement.

My Qualifications

I'm a certified Accent Specialist and hold a Level 5 TEFL Diploma, alongside certification as a Corporate Trainer. Since 2020, I've delivered over 10,000 sessions to learners across the globe, and built a community of over 195,000 people worldwide across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn and my mailing list.

I've developed the Australian Accent Clarity Method, a proven framework that's helped hundreds of professionals go from feeling misunderstood to speaking with confidence in meetings, presentations and everyday conversations.

Romina

1:1 Pronunciation Coach — The Accent Clarity Transformation Program

Romina is a native Australian English speaker with 20 years of experience teaching English to speakers of other languages in NSW schools. She holds a postgraduate qualification in TESOL and brings a deep understanding of how pronunciation is learnt and taught across different language backgrounds. As well as English, she speaks Spanish and Italian. Romina works directly with students in the one-on-one program, guiding them through their weekly sessions and supporting their progress week by week.

Jade

Pronunciation Feedback Specialist — The Australian Pronunciation Studio

Jade holds a master's degree in Language Learning and Teaching and is currently pursuing a PhD in sociophonetics. She has a particular connection to Australian English, having lived in Australia for two and a half years and spoken it daily for several years since. She speaks five languages: Finnish (her native language), English, Spanish, Swedish and French. She's the person listening through your recordings each week inside the Studio, and students consistently tell us her feedback is one of the most valuable parts of the program.

The Team Behind the Scenes

Behind every lesson, post and program, there's a small team keeping things running. Habiba and Azahra are both from Indonesia, and Noel is from the Philippines, and all three are learning English themselves, so they bring a firsthand understanding of that journey to their work.

Habiba

Virtual Assistant · Admin & Student Support

Habiba is the primary Virtual Assistant working alongside Amanda and the wider team. She has a background in psychology and HR, with a particular interest in learning and development, and keeps the team's day-to-day running smoothly: admin, student support, content scheduling, design creation and the small tasks that keep everything organised. Outside of work, she loves learning languages, exploring new places, and meeting people from different cultures.

Azahra

Virtual Assistant · Content & Social Media

Azahra is the secondary Virtual Assistant behind Aussie English with Amanda, with an engineering background and more than a year and a half of experience as a VA across five English coaching brands. She writes the carousels you see on social media and runs the systems that keep the content going out every week.

Noel

Video Editor · All Video Content

Noel is the video editor behind Aussie English with Amanda, with a background in storytelling and filmmaking. Every video on the page passes through his hands, and he brings a filmmaker's eye to each one, making sure it actually connects with people rather than just stringing clips together.

Beyond the Classroom

When I'm not teaching or recording, you'll usually find me outdoors: chasing sunsets on the beach, saying hello to a quokka, getting way too excited over a kangaroo, or grabbing a coffee somewhere new. I'm a beach baby at heart and genuinely struggle being away from the ocean for long, so any excuse to be near water or wildlife, I'll take it. I also have a golden wattle tattoo, a little reminder of home that's always with me.
